You are cordially invited to step back in time with the Rowland Freedom Center as we celebrate 250 years of America's Independence at our 'Heroes Through History' Gala on Saturday, May 30, 2026. Enjoy an evening of elegance, fine dining, live music and patriotism with friends while honoring the mission of military history education.  Be enlightened as we welcome 2025 National Aviation Hall of Fame inductee, Julie Clark as our guest speaker. We will also have the privilege of highlighting our guest of honor, Herm Rowland, benefactor of the Rowland Freedom Center. Entertainment will be provided by Sweet Marie & the Suspects, and the dinner will be catered by La Guagua.

The dancing meant something?

Nights out were about

This is why we created our Decades Dance!

​

On April 17, we’re turning back the clock for a night of:

 

  • Live music that makes you feel alive

  • Dancing that doesn’t feel forced

  • One-of-a-kind classic cars on display 

  • Food Vendors including Firecraft, Tea Dojo & Baby O's Donuts

  • Rare and unique WWII Warbirds

  • A Best Costume Contest (Yes, go all in!)

This isn’t just a dance.

It’s a night for those who miss the days when a night out felt more alive.

Ticket Prices: Tickets are available at the door or online.

 

  • $25 – General Admission

  • $15 – Veterans & Students

  • Free – Active Military (with ID) and children under 12​

All proceeds support the Rowland Freedom Center’s mission to honor, support, and connect veterans and the community. Bring your friends, bring your family, and bring your best moves!​

Faces of Freedom:
Colonel Joe Peterburs

The Rowland Freedom Center is excited to announce a special Faces of Freedom event featuring Colonel Joe Peterburs, USAF (Ret.), as the keynote speaker. A 101-year-old veteran of World War II, Korea, and Vietnam, Colonel Peterburs flew combat missions in the P-51 Mustang during WWII, survived as a Prisoner of War, and later helped shape NATO command-and-control systems during the Cold War. His 36-year Air Force career reflects extraordinary courage, leadership, and service. Following his presentation, the event will conclude with a book signing. March 14, 11:00 AM - 12:30 PM 

Military/Aviation Craft & Toy Sale

Military Resource Fair

Join the Rowland Freedom Center for the 1st Annual Military/Aviation Craft & Toy Sale and Military Resource Fair on Sunday, May 3, 2026, from 10 AM–3 PM in Vacaville. Guests can explore a wide variety of military and aviation memorabilia, handmade crafts, and collectible toys, while also connecting with organizations offering valuable resources for veterans and service members. The event will also feature a special appearance by C. Andrew Nelson, award-winning artist, writer, motivational speaker, and one of the actors behind Darth Vader in the Star Wars films.

Every 1st Saturday, 9am-11am

The Rowland Freedom Center welcomes veterans, military and first responders to free coffee and doughnuts every first Saturday of the month. Stop on by and see our collection while enjoying some coffee and doughnuts amongst fellow veterans/first responders!
